Port and historical center of Cervia

A short distance and reachable by walking on the new waterfront of Milano Marittima or by bicycles (that hotel Baya provides for free), you can easily visit the historic city center of Cervia, from the canal port, passing the Magazzini del Sale and the tower San Michele, the watchtower protecting the white gold, up to Piazza Garibaldi, the main square of Cervia where the Duomo and the town hall of the city are located.
In addition to demonstrating its history and tradition, the historic center is full of narrow streets with numerous bars and restaurants, and is also home to numerous initiatives, concerts and markets.

We especially remember two events that take place from the end of May to the beginning of September: "Borgomarina vetrina di Romagna" and "Cervia candlelight"

Borgomarina Vetrina di Romagna takes place every Thursday evening: on these occasions the characteristic fishing village offers a pleasant walk to discover local flavors and traditions. Every week, gastronomic and craft products will talk about the culture and industriousness of the land of Romagna. From the ancient lighthouse to the modern mobile bridge it will be an alternation of enogastronomic exhibitions, elaborations of artistic craftsmanship, tastings of typical products and traditional menus in the restaurants of the village.

The light of the candles illuminates the avenues and the whole center of Cervia immerses in a magical atmosphere with Cervia candlelight: every Tuesday evening the historic center of Cervia comes alive with markets, displays of typical products and artistic craftsmanship of Romagna, entertainment and gastronomic proposals, presentation of local excellence and local enogastronomy, with music and animation.
