Aperitif with Cervia Fishermen
Cervia's old town: guided tour of Cervia's Borgo dei Pescatori to hear stories about the history, fishing techniques and all the traditions of Cervia's fishing industry.
From the historic boat "Maria", moored at the quay in front of the "San Michele" Tower, the tour continues with a walk along Cervia's canal port named after Pope John Paul II, which provides an overview of the fishermen's village, their terraced houses and the 1875 lighthouse.
Along the way it is possible to admire the 24 scale reproductions of the multicoloured "sails to the third" of the Cervia navy, placed in the street lamps.
The tour ends with a visit to the Fishermen's Club, formerly the wholesale fish market, now a meeting place and a place for preserving seafaring traditions: here you can see some testimonies such as photos, objects and ceramic reproductions of the traditional sails whose colours and designs made it possible to recognise the captains and crews from afar.
The promenade must end with a colourful "aperitif with the fishermen", accompanied by the songs and ditties of the "canterini e musicanti" group of the Fishermen's Circle called "Trapozal".
